  • Carmen Lett

I’m a practising midwife in the Bay of Plenty and have been working as a midwife for over 15 years.

I also run Hatched Antenatal, an antenatal & parenting course, run in person and as an online course.

My biggest passion in all facets of my work is to walk beside families on their journey however that may look. Giving you evidence based information so you can make informed choices that are best for you and your family.

I really love birth but I also love watching families become parents and embrace their postpartum period. Often we focus so much on the labour and birth of your baby but I know the importance of putting focus on the postpartum, to prepare you for life with your new baby and the changes this will bring.

I am a Postnatal doula and education practitioner of evidence based postnatal support. I own Anchor Me Postpartum & I am experienced in navigating the unchartered waters of new parenthood, plotting the course, co-constructing a pathway to sail forward, to manoeuvre through challenges such as learning your babies cues, your identity as a new parent, creating time and space for yourself and your primary relationship, understanding biological sleep needs, finding the flow in this sea-change, breast and bottle feeding and supporting all aspects of maternal mental health.

I want to be the lead cheerleader in celebrating successes and pivotal milestones. Standing shoulder to shoulder with the family as they traverse the Matrescence with a trusted guide. I am able to share burdens, find solutions, build relationships and easily access further support if required.
